Toasted Coconut & Cinnamon Barrel Aged Stout

Tastes fine but a bit muddled. Nothing particularly worth noting about this beer.

22 ounce bottle, no dating that I could find on the bottle or label. Served in a snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with about an inch or so tan head. Head retention and lacing are both good. I like the aroma, the brew smells like roasted malt, coconut, cinnamon, vanilla, dark chocolate and some whiskey. Taste is similar to the aroma, but there's the addition of some dark bread and oaky flavors. I think the cinnamon and coconut flavors stand out compared to the others but without overpowering them. Barrel character seems light to me, but it's still noticeable. Mouthfeel/body is medium/full, it's a bit slick and creamy with a moderate amount of carbonation. I liked this brew, wish the barrel had more kick but that's really a minor complaint. Worth trying if you get the chance!
