From the 12 oz can in a snifter via Bluejacket74! Cheers Dude!
This solid little imperial pours a pitch black with a moderate head of
khaki foam that subsides to a thin ring, thin dusty layer, and sports
some nice light lacing. Nose of chai spice with notes of ginger, clove, and
cinnamon, dark roasted malts, chocolate, and subtle coffee. Flavors hit
the mark with ginger, clove, cardamon, and cinnamon dashed with clove,
dunked in dark roasted goodness of coffee and chocolate, and topped with a
hint of cream. Mouth feel is full, smooth, lightly warming, moderately slick,
and finishing nicely balanced with sweet, light char, and spice ending in a
moderately dry finish.
Overall, a STUNNER. I am not a huge Chai guy, but this one hits the mark
for balance, balance, and balance----the three qualifiers for a great brew!
Cheers

12 ounce can, canned on 06/09/23. Served in a chalice, the beer pours dark brown/black with about an inch tan head that stuck around a little while. Good amount of lacing. I like the aroma, the brew smells like ginger, clove, cardamon, cinnamon and roasted malt. I think the taste is similar to the aroma, but there's also the addition of some pepper, allspice and dark bready flavors too. I think the ginger stands out somewhat compared to the other flavors here, but doesn't overwhelm them either. Mouthfeel/body is full, it's creamy and a bit coating with a good amount of soft carbonation. I liked this brew, worth trying if you like chai stouts!
