In the glass the colour is almost black, devoid of translucence. Light brown foam, moderately high, persistent. Small bubbles burst quite slowly, eventually forming a half-centimetre thick layer.
In the aroma, strongly roasted and slightly spicy notes, there is liquorice, burnt caramel, further cocoa, molasses sweetness, burnt but also wet wood.
The taste is slightly sweet, with a definite bitterness counterpoint. The sweetness is associated with molasses and caramel, while the bitterness is associated with notes of cocoa, burnt caramel, coffee.
The alcohol gently warms the oesophagus. Low saturation. Texture very smooth and soft. Body high, full. Long dry, roasted aftertaste.
