Appearance – Clear, golden-copper color, white foam of medium-to-low abundance, tending toward sparse, not very persistent.

Aroma – Mainly malty (medium intensity tending toward medium-high), with a bread-toasty character. Rather “narrow” overall. Also detectable is a sweet/fresh note that I can’t quite identify—probably hops (trace floral hints in aftertaste esspesially).

Taste – Malty accents more pronounced than in the aroma. Similar character. Unfortunately, no “baked” aromas are noticeable.

Mouthfeel – Sweet. Bitterness is low. Too low, in my opinion, the balance leans too much toward fullness (the first impression upon tasting is sweetness). Carbonation is medium. Slight alcohol warmth in the aftertaste.

Overall – A tasty beer, but it has a few issues in terms of style criteria. First, the balance leans too much toward fullness; bitterness is too low. As far as I know, a Märzen should not taste sweet at first sip. Second, aromatically it is not particularly broad. There are no distinct roasted or melanoidin aromas.
