This one pours a sludgy, thick, chunky consistency. The beer is a matte brown-orange color. It has a nice thick 3 or 4 finger head when I initially poured it. That steadily dissipates leaving no residual head. There is a conspicuous amount of sludge or debris that settles in the bottle of the glass. I thought the one I had last night was one of the ugliest beers I've ever had then I poured this one ...
The aroma on this is a bright, fruity bouquet with notes of mango and papaya, orange, and grapefruit. There is an aroma that I do not recognize so I am guessing that is the starfruit which is a fruit I am not familiar with. Its a nice fruity aroma with just a hint of sourness.
The taste follows the nose with notes of mango, orange, papaya, grapefruit and that unidentified fruit flavor. There is a light wheat malt base peaking through the fruits. Moderately sour, although I get the impression it is a sour beer wherein the fruits used provide further sourness in the flavor profile.
Feel is thick, especially when you reach the last 1/3 of the beer. Filling. Pretty sprightly carbonated.
Overall this was an interesting kettle sour. But very much a one and done for me.
