In Venezuela, there is one special treat that reminds us all of when we were star-eyed children and it’s our favorite wafer, cocosette!! So we decided to link up with our Amigos from Forager Brewery and let our inner, chocolate crazed child out to get all trippy with this g o o e y delight
We threw this bad boy into not one, but TWO different barrels, and aged up for 18 MONTHS. Then when it was finally ready to see the daylight, we threw it onto mountains of coconut and cocosette wafer cookies
COCO-SET
Double Barrel Imperial Stout Aged 18 months in Bourbon and Rum barrels Conditioned with coconut, coconut candy, toasted coconut, coconut flakes, coconut syrup, wafer cookies, and Venezuelan cacao nibs.

This one pours a very dark black color, with a small head, and not much lacing.
This, absolutely unsurprisingly, smells a lot like coconut. I'm not sure I could pick out every single way they added coconut to this one, but the aroma is definitely very inviting.
Despite the sweetness and absurdity of what's being attempted here, this is very tasty. There's a ton of coconut, but the barrel does stand up to it, with the rum barrel in particular adding some very nice spice and oak character.
This is thick and fudgy, with no real booziness to it.
This was a really nice surprise - it tasted pretty wonderful.
