Milkshake-inspired Sour Ale Conditioned with Cherries, Apricots, Coconut, Hazelnut, Chocolate, Vanilla, and Milk Sugar

Have you been enjoying all our recent and divinely delectable MILKSHAKE sours?? Well, we certainly know a certain kangaroo that has gone beyond bonkers for the sensational stuff, so we just had to make them a shake all their own and you would NOT believe what this mesmerized marsupial enjoys.

We threw enough apricots and cherries into this shake to cover the entirety of a desert, gave it some chocolate and vanilla lovin, and shaved some coconut and hazelnut atop its billowy milkshake goodness our eyes are swirling because this is sure one.

The pint can was emptied into a clear glass liter mug, just in case of a massive foaming. That didn't occur, as one thing good about milkshake brews is they aren't overly foamy. So, a virtually headless murky brown-violet liquid rests within the vessel. The aroma is nicely complicated with some cherry, coconut, vanilla and even some more nuttiness registering strongly. The taste is even more complicated than the aroma. It's cherry, coconut, apricot, and vanilla first. Then it's giving hints of chocolate and another type of nut. All this comes in a substantial delivery that is full bodied and adds significant tartness. This is one milkshake beer that tastes more like a fruited sour than a commercial smoothie you get at a shopping mall. There's no glass lacing, nor taste of alcohol. Do yourself the favor of overlooking the lactose listed as an ingredient. This is one interesting and good tasting kettle sour.

Poured from a 16 oz can into a Dogfish Head tulip

L: Murky... kind of ugly burgundy pour. Thin pink-tinged head. Falls fast... no lacing.

S: Cherry... tart and fruity.

T.F: Sweet/tart... loads of baking cherry and vanilla. Lighter cocoa and peach. Lactose... good balance between the sweet/tart. Not really picking up the coconut. Medium bodied and smooth. Low carbonation. More tart cherry at the finish.

O: Another in a string of delicious milkshake sours. Very well done.
