Double India Pale Ale Hopped with Lotus, Citra, Motueka, Cashmere, and Lemondrop Hops
We aim at staying trippy when it comes to hops by using experimentals, playing with proportions, tweaking our hop schedules, all that jazzy stuff. We’ve come to really love a specific handful of them, so we went for a tripping FIRST and threw all FIVE of the bad boys into a DIPA. You’ll have a tropical rainforest of aromatics and notes, rounded out with a distinct crisp dryness.

From the side of the label on the can: "CANNED 05/04/22"
Appearance: It has an opaque, milky orange colored body. The head is medium-sized, white, and creamy textured. It has some wisps of lacing on the glass. Good head retention.
Aroma: It has a light orange aroma with a touch of garlic.
Taste: Up front there isn't really any flavor to the beer. As it rolls to the middle of the palate it picks up some flavor which tastes a bit like hard orange candy. There is a bit of a sweet and slightly bitter malt syrup character as well. The back of the palate is slightly bitter orange peel flavor, and it has a lingering aftertaste of a similar character but slightly sharper.
Mouthfeel: It is thick feeling on the palate, and rather heavy feeling. There is a medium bitterness which comes across as orange pith.
Overall: It is an alright take on the New England IPA style. It has the right appearance and it has a full body. The aroma and flavors are pretty good. It does feel too heavy when drinking it, and that hampers drinkability a lot. Additionally the flavors and aromas seem a little dull. I could still drink it from time to time but it wouldn't be something I would jump to buy again. It's worth trying a single pour or a single can but I wouldn't recommend a 4-pack.
