Helles Dream is a traditional style Helles with a crisp and clean finish and smooth Saaz hop notes on both the nose and back of the palette. Easy, uncomplicated drinking, deliciously refreshing.

Has a burnt orange appearance.
Despite large long lasting head carbonation seems a little light. Body is about medium but overall a nice feel
Aroma is a really nice mix of grain and cereal followed with sweet malt. Some floral earthy hops show up in a very pleasant way
Taste doesn't stray too far from the aroma.
A bit sweet but that works against the grain and cereal.
Very well done enjoyable beer.

Bought it because the can had a dog on it. The taste is malty but for me it’s hard to describe compared to the herbalish hop character.. It’s my first helles so it’s hard for me to compare to other examples. Tripping animals seems to be a good brewery though, and I like their aesthetics a lot. I plan to try their hazy IPAS and their take on an AAL. Anyway though, it’s pretty mild in terms of bitterness but you do get some hop character. This is the first beer I’ve had with Saaz hops in it, and I like the taste. I definitely get that spicy character people always talk about when they drink beer with saaz hops. Light but comfortable carbonation.. The malty sweetness tends linger a bit.. Overall, I like it. I think I like Pilsner more.

just the third ive had from these guys, and the first i can think of that i have even seen from them that wasnt some high adjunct trend chasing thing, good as they have all been. this is straight up helles, even a little surprisingly uninteresting for these guys, but the kind of beer my homies and i needed after a bunch of funky stuff, and cool to have one on tap from them. this is not perfectly clear but very pale, i like helles to sparkle, and this one really doesnt, but it still has a nice appearance with obviously high carbonation and a nice lasting inch of white head. seems like german pils malt leading the way in aroma and flavor, its only minimally hoppy to my nose, a little bitter on the swallow, but not flavorful from hops. the grain is fresh, minimal, and nicely brought to life in the brewing process, this almost has that decoction mash profile to me, minerals through it, just off totally dry, seems right for the style. the lagering is also quite patient and professional, quintessentially german to me, but basic overall, simple in a good way, just unexpected for what i know about this operation. drinkable and satisfying, but certainly doesnt warrant as much contemplation as the others ive had from them...
