Here to Induct our FRUITS & FONDUE series, inspired by delicious and eccentric chocolate combinations, this citrusy delight was inspired by Japanese kit-kits made with mandarin oranges. Absolutely divine notes of rich chocolate coalesce with bright notes of wonderfully aromatic citrus. A fondue party in a glass.

Now this one seems weird. A fruit/chocolate fondue-inspired Fruited Kettle Sour? They’ll really go anywhere with these now. So I’ll treat this one as a Pastry Sour, and I think it just might be kinda fun to try this. Let’s crack it open and see just how weird it is
Pours a cloudy brownish orange with 2 fingers of off white head that fades to a thin cap and leaves nice lacing
Oh man, this one smells weird, it’s really clashing but not necessarily bad. I’m picking up on aromas of milk chocolate, tart orange juice, lemon zest, brown bread, honey, and light brown sugar
Wow, in taste I think this actually works really well, nicely tsrt but still sweet. On the front end of the sip I’m tasting tart tangerine, orange juice, lemon juice, cocoa powder, and brown sugar. The swallow brings notes of milk chocolate, tart tangerine, lemon juice, dark toast, orange juice, and a touch of raspberry
A light medium body pairs with gentle carbonation, resulting in a tart beer. Finishes neutral and balanced between the sweet and tart elements
I really didn’t expect to like this as much as I did. It was mostly just a case of “fuck it, this is weird, let’s try it” bur it’s actually pretty damn good and easy drinking. If I see others in the series I’ll probably pick them up
