The 16 oz can describes this beer as "Double India Pale Ale w/ galaxy, Enigma and Marshmallow". It is also a collaboration with the Equilibrium Brewery (Middletown NY). This Imperial IPA is based on the new "Milkshake" IPA style. Poured from a 16 oz. can into a pint glass, this beer features a big foamy white head with good retention and solid bands of lacing. It has a hazy straw yellow color like a NE IPA. Aroma and taste feature lactose, mild hops bitterness and lots of vanilla. I found the taste somewhat off-putting with an unpleasant aftertaste (either the marshmallows or the vanilla). Mouthfeel is thick and "milky" with some bitterness. The crispness encountered with most IPAs is buried in lactose. I don't know if it is the style or this beer in particular that I find objectionable, but I wouldn't drink another one.
