2023 version, 16.9 fl oz white-waxed bottle, poured at 56° into a Cigar City snifter.
Lively fizzies dance atop a finger of deep brown head and deep black brew.
Aroma of molasses, dark chocolate, prunes, dark caramel.
Taste explodes, stretches into the realm of chocolate decadence, dark stone fruit, and a touch of boozy pleasure. The carbonation pops through abject density and propels the beer into a dreamy chocolate egg cream, delivered by the Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man. Time in barrel rounds the experience with mouth-puckering woodsy intensity. Sticky sweet stays on the lips between pulls. Really super stuff.
Mouth is exquisitely dense. Quite high and very tight carbonation.
Overall, a World Class effort, if you feel like dropping the required $50.00 to get it.
