L-Pours a smoothie-like mango orange beer with chunks of fruit through tout. Thin lacy head at the top. Very minimal carbonation is present.
S-A funky and sour carbonation of mango, peach, pineapple, coconut and vanilla. The smell gives off a tropical paradise vibe with an ever-so slight demented character.
T-Very, very candy sweet tropical fruit with a funky bend at the end. Mango, and pineapple are very present up front. Peach follows behind with an ever present backbone of coconut and vanilla. Bitter bite at the back end. Very interesting. The funkiness adds enough to make this beer rewarding.
F-This is my first time having an actual smoothie beer, so I'm a little taken aback. The mouthfeel is on the heavier side with subtle carbonation throughout. What gets me is there are actual bits of fruit in the body that I notice in the mouthfeel. Almost as if it is a smoothie blended to about 90% full blend. The fruit also settles naturally, so it is thicker towards the bottom.
O-A weird one for sure. Easily the weirdest beer I've had all year. I can't put my finger on if I revere this beer because I find it good, or if I just find it interesting. The answer likely lies between. Overall, this beer was a fun drink to have. I don't really know how it stands compared to smoothie beers, because those aren't my thing, but I really enjoyed it for what it was. Funky, sweet, tropical, demented..? Don't know if I'd have this specific beer again, but I'm now intrigued by the brewery and want more.
If anyone actually reads these reviews. I would say, give this a try if you can find it.
