Tall pint can poured into a tulip:
L: It's a darker, somewhat dull red. It reminded me of some sort of red soda due to the fizziness. Pretty tall, off-white head like soda carbonation. It's strawberr juice in a beer glass.
S: Like a PB&J sandwich. Ever-prescent strawberry jam aroma with a healthy dose of peanut butter. Yes, there are darker fruits present - I'm guessing blackberries. Yep, and raspberries too.
T: Huh. It's not as in your face sour as expected; in fact, the presence of the blackberries seems to tone down the overt tartness. I'm sure the peanut butter helps too as a sort of base for everything else to ride on. This sports a very noticeable strawberry quality - none of the fruit is lost in the blend. Well done.
F: As a fruited sour, it's still somewhat tart and sweet, but eminently drinkable. Decent on carbonation, on the lighter side in body. Lingering aftertaste of sweet and sour that makes your mouth water a bit.
While I don't tend to reach for fruited kettle sours often, I'm actually impressed - this was better than anticipated, even knowing Mortalis and Kings collaborated on this.
