L: Pours a rich, thick dark brown, almost black. No appreciable head or lacing.
S: Bourbon and rye barrel. Oak, char, and roasted malts. Maple, vanilla, and molasses. Coconuts, pecans. Very sweet and decadent.
T: Follows the nose. Rye, bourbon, and maple interspersed with dark chocolate, coconut, and pecans. Cake batter, hint of hazelnut. There is a faint lactose and molasses taste. Extremely decadent and rich.
F: Full-bodied. Thick, silky velvet mouthfeel. Light carbonation.
O: Excellent pastry stout, not overly sweet as the rye and bourbon balances out the sugar. Worth the buy.
