A double hop–saturated ride powered by Freestyle Nelson, Freestyle Motueka, and a hit of Freestyle Motueka hop kief. Bursting with bright citrus, tropical zest, and that signature NZ white-grape glow, it’s juicy, punchy, and packed with layers that keep unfolding. Smooth intensity from the first sip to the last — a true trip worthy of the name.

Poured from 16oz can into my BeerAdvocate teku. Canned 12/9/25.
Appearance: pale golden-yellow hue with tons of haze and a finger of frothy ivory foam atop.
Smell: malt is on the sweet side, with a lovely aroma of peach and apricot. There’s maybe a hint of grassiness in there as well. It’s quite nice.
Taste: some of that stone fruit quality remains from the aroma, but there’s more grapefruit peel and some other earthier flavors going on here. There’s some hop burn, and there’s definitely some bitterness at the end. It’s nice, but it’s a little rough.
Mouthfeel: medium-rich body with a good level of carbonation and a lovely, smooth creaminess.
Overall: I like the aroma a lot, and the texture is great, but there’s just a little harshness here I think. The brewer simply calls this a DIPA, but you could also easily call it a hazy, albeit a more-bitter-than-normal one. There’s some good stuff going on here, but the total package isn’t quite as sublime as it could be, I think.
