500 ml bottle. No freshness date noted

Clear golden with a creamy white head. Thin rings of lace cling to the glass. Looks promising.

Aroma is sweet grain, corn syrup.

Flavor is sugary, with a bit of corn, a little dryness on the finish.
High abv is well hidden.

Not one I would visit again

Appearance – This Boss came out a pretty, shiny orange in color. It’s somewhat translucent and you can see some bubbling carbonation in the glass. The head was nice. It was white, came up easily, and left blobs of foamy pits that unfortunately looked like mold on a hunk of cheese, but we won’t hold that against it.

Smell – You can smell this grain booze bomb from across the room. There’s some light candy orange in there but otherwise it’s mostly Euro-grain.

Taste – Oh, this is a rough one. It’s harsh, boozy, and full of grain. The candy orange from the nose gives way to orange Tums.

Mouthfeel – This body is in between light and medium. I like the carbonation but the boozy aftertaste is stale, not stingy.

Drinkability – Not as bad as I wrote, but definitely not a “buy again”.

The beer evacuates the 500ml brown bottle a brilliant gold color with a presentable head that is white in color and creamy in texture, upon its demise the lace forms a firm, thin sheet of lace to surround the glass. Nose has a grainy sweetness, like fresh cracked corn, fresh and crisp, clean to the senses, start is lightly sweet, with a nice grain presence, top is light to medium in its feel to the palate. Finish has a respectable acidity, the hops detectable, and the 8.1 percent ABV, makes itself known, quite dry, as dry as Arizona, as it hasn’t rained here in 110 days, bodes ill for the fire season that’s just around the corner, anyone know a “Rain Dance”?
