A feast of tropical hops and ester forward kveik yeast. Turn on, tune in, drop out.
Appearance - Pours a hazy golden peach with four fingers of frothy white head that leaves some puffy lace on the glass.
Smell - citrus and tropical hops, pineapple, coconut, pineapple, hint of apricot, citrus and orange peel, bready malts, and earthy yeast.
Taste - citrus and tropical hops upfront. The coconut, pineapple, hint of apricot, citrus and orange peel follow suit. The bready malts and earthy yeast round out the brew. The hops are mild in this one but the tropical notes do make up for it.
Mouthfeel - Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Finishes sticky with the tropical fruits lingering.
Overall - A flavourful IPA that boasts a pleasant tropical fruitiness. I wish the hops were a bit more pronounced but the tropical fruits and malts help the brew to stand on its feet.
