Appearance - Pours a rich cola brown with three fingers of frothy cappuccino-coloured head.
Smell - Roasted malts, bitter cocoa, coffee bean, earthy and leafy hops, hint of smoke and vanilla.
Taste - Bold roasted malts and bitter cocoa and black coffee, followed by the earthiness of the hops and a touch of smoke, as if this beer has been sitting by a campfire. ABV is well concealed.
Mouthfeel - Medium to full bodied with light-to-moderate carbonation. Slightly sticky but also silky.
Overall - A roasty, smoky, toasty stout for the upcoming Canadian winter season.
