It sure looks like a NEIPA, poured to empty a pint can into a clear glass liter mug. Thankfully, there's only a modest off-white head, instead of the too frequent ridiculous mass of white foam. It's dirty blond and just short of being murky. The aroma is sufficiently of hops and starches for its style. Nothing outstanding, but enough to satisfy the nose. To taste, up front, a citrusy hopping dominates, it's almost like grapefruit juice was an included ingredient. That hit gives way to some starchy, almost breadlike characteristics, whilst the hops fade, but linger. The malt/hops balance is nearly perfect and the body, as well as the taste, benefits. Perhaps nicest of all is the clean, dry and bitter finish. The glass lacing is very sparse, but that really doesn't matter. This is, flat out, an excellent ale. The label advises that the can contains ale. It should, immodestly advise that it contains a very good ale.
