This Bullfrog Brewery and Bald Birds Brewing collaboration uses decoction mash to enhance the German malt, yeast, and hops expressly. The result is an exquisite, floral, and delightfully spicy lager. PROST!

12 oz can. Dark straw yellow with plenty of white foam. Mildly hopped flavor; reminded me more of a Czech pils than German. Good, well balanced beer I would gladly drink again.

I got a can of this beer off the single shelf whilen visiting the brewery whilst in town for my daughter's gymnastics Natty meet. It poured a clear golden with thin white ring head that is not leaving any lace. The scent had crisp saaz hop notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with bright malt base with earth and grass presence. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it is a great beer.

Poured into a wide mouth, grip shaped goblet: color is straw, clear, head is brighter white and presents 1/4 inch thick, head dissipates to a ring on the glass sides.
Smell is clean malt with bread, toast, biscuit, crisp hops with grass, lemon, earth, herbal spice.
Taste is similar with bread, toast, biscuit malt flavors, hops follow with herbal spice, grass, light lemon, and earth.
Mouthfeel is moderate carbonation, moderate sweetness, moderate bitterness.
Overall a very good pilsner in the German styling - simple, clean, malty, well hopped.
