I am trying this beer off the tapper at the brewery as part of a four sample flight. It poured an opaque dark mahogany amber with no head and no lace. The scent had vanilla and bourbon notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to sip. There was a sweet heavy molasses malt base with a dark fruit, fig, vanilla and bourbon presence. The mouthfeel was fuller in body and had smoove carbonation. Overall it is a solid beer.

Pours as dark as midnight oil with a coffee colored head.

Maple, bourbon, vanilla, and dark bread in the nose.

Taste follows nose with notes of bourbon and maple floating on whole grain bread backbone with dry oak notes.
