This beer pours light-medium amber with a tall off-white head. The flavor distribution starts off bimodal with malt sweetness and hops floral and bitter notes vying for the lead. The astringency and bitterness of the hops build a resilient aftertaste after a few pulls, forming a steady background punctuated by the malty sweetness of subsequent sips. This is an ideal beer for those who want more bitterness from a scotch/wee heavy ale as well as those who wish for more complexity in pale ales.
