This beer was awful. I got about 1/4 of the way through the 16oz can and drain poured it.
There was no balance. It tasted like I licked a pine tree...
I love a good bitter IPA, hell... head hunter is probably my second favorite IPA. I'm no NEIPA hazeboi but this beer was just disgustingly bitter I felt like scraping my tongue after drinking it.
I really think birdfish should spend more time on their brewing quality and less time on the "omgzzz can release on Saturday come line up for us" hype craze. It may work briefly, but they'll never go far and itll fizzle out if they can't dial in some better beers.
Apart from a sour I had in their pub last winter, I've been thoroughly let down by a spectrum of styles. Which is a shame because I love their pubs atmosphere, and really want to like their stuff, but quality of this degree is simply unlikable.
