Dark brown to coffee black with a tall, creamy convex tan foam that leaves some wobbly walls and creeping lace.
Smell has that classic, fresh black IPA pungency, as sweaty hops are paired with a good, nutty roast. A bit of that lime comes out only as it warms.
Taste starts off with the expected bitter bite of pine, but a uniquely smoothing cucumber note really alters the Black IPA in an unexpectedly nice way.
Carbonation is softly crisp but present in this mild bodied ale that finishes powder dry.
