Glistening amber, like straight out of Jurassic Park, but no head to speak of.
The crisply tart and tingly medium body delivers a classically clean oak barrel presence, a very mild funk, and a grapefruit sort of citrus character. A mild herbal note extracted from the gooseberry pairs with a little pink fruit mid-palate, where the carbonation expands well, before the semi-dry finish.
Quite good drinking--I think oak aged sours are where Birdfish quietly excels. I've been floored by a few of them now, and they come out so infrequently that the effect is even stronger when I get my hands on one.
