Chill haze light brown, and almost salmon red, there's a faint khaki head that quickly dies off to a thin creamy collar.
The smoothly round but medium body contains a nutty roast with a hint of cola, accented by tobacco, but it's not really woody or indicative of any sort of oak, whiskey or scotch barrel. It's not even boozy, and I mean being at 6.6% that's a given but it's also coming across like a wasted effort using "rare" barrels for something so pedestrian. It even doesn't even seem like a Wee Heavy to me, but I guess technically it fits right on the low end of the borderline in the category.
In any case, this comes across more like a non-barrel aged Brown ale, except for just a little more malt.
