355ml can poured into a blue jays beer mug (go jays!)
Pours a dark brown chocolate colour with a small 1 finger brown head which dissipates within a minute.
Scents of roasted malts and chocolate. Also picking up some scent of freshly roasted coffee.
Tastes of earthy notes, malts and chocolate and leaving a wonderfully pleasant aftertaste of roasted malt.
Carbonation is minimum as it should be in a porter and has a delightfully velvety mouth feel.
Overall a great porter for the price. Doesn’t compare to some of the legends (cough, old engine oil, cough) but pretty good for a 13 dollar 6 pack. I will likely be buying again.
