355ml can - this is the closest style I could attribute this one to on this site.

This beer pours a clear, dark bronzed amber colour, with four fingers of puffy, finely foamy, and mildly fizzy ecru head, which leaves a bit of random streaky lace around the glass as it lazily recedes.

It smells of bready and doughy caramel malt, mild wet ashy notes, baked red apples, overripe pears, a bit of musty yeastiness, and some plain earthy, leafy, and herbal green hop bitters. The taste is grainy and bready cereal malt, buttery Ritz crackers, muddled pome fruit, and more well-understated earthy, herbal, and dead floral hoppiness.

The carbonation is average in its palate-coating frothiness, the body a decent medium weight, and mostly smooth, but for a minor clamminess arising pretty much from the get-go here. It finishes off-dry, the malt essentially the only lingering game in town.

Overall - this 'uncommon' style sure shares a lot in terms of attributes with the Californian version, and that's not a compliment. Unbalanced, with more than a trace of diacetyl, I don't think that this will be as popular in Alberta as the brewery believes it was in Louisville, back in the day.
