This is a special, one-off collaboration beer brewed by Hofbrauhaus Cleveland, Jolly Scholar, Working Class Brewery for Cleveland Beer Week 2019. I got a growler of this. Poured into one of my pint glasses, this beer is a very dark brown, almost black color with a nice, fluffy looking tan head that's about an inch thick when first poured that eventually settles to a nice surface layer, a very thick ring lining the inside of the glass, and excellent lacing. Aromas of roasted malts with definite notes of chocolate and coconut and also a lactic quality. A very similar flavor profile here, with the aforementioned roasted malts followed by cocoa sweetness and coconut along with a bit of a lactic quality, likely from some milk sugars. Not really much of a discernible hop presence here, and that's fine. Has a slightly crisp, mostly smooth and slightly frothy, medium to full bodied mouthfeel with moderate carbonation. Has a clean finish with a nice sweet and slightly spicy aftertaste. A very nice beer here. Glad I got to try this one that I may never drink again.
