This was in the same ballpark as Market Garden's. Not bad, I'd have it again but it's definitely unremarkable and doesn't stand out amongst others in the style, locally, nationally, or worldwide. (It is better than the Market Garden offering though) Feels good but a lot of these do. Taste is below average. It's totally a fine beer but it's just that, fine.

From the 12 oz can in a snifter. This fine brew pours a light orange
with a very nice head of white foam that settles to a thick ring, thin
dusty layer, and shows some nice lacing. Nose of light toasted malts,
subtle grains, caramel, and light herbal hops. Flavors surpass the
nose with caramel, nicely toasted malts, light grains, subtle breaded
malt notes, and nicely balanced herbal hops. Nice mouth feel; medium
body, medium light verging on light carbonation, and a balanced malt
and hop finish that is faintly dry.
Overall----a great little quencher!
Cheers

12 ounce can, canned on 07.29.21, thanks to Brutaltruth for this one! Served in a dimpled mug, the beer pours a somewhat clear dark gold/orange color with not quite an inch off-white head. Head retention is good, and there's a small amount of lacing. The brew smells like bready/biscuity malt, spicy hops and some toasted malt. For the most part I think the taste follows the aroma, but there's also a hint of apple flavor noticeable too. Mouthfeel/body is light/medium, it's smooth, a bit coating and easy to drink with a good amount of carbonation. Maybe I should have drank this one fresher, but I thought this was just decent. Still worth a try, but I'll have to give it a try next year when it's fresher.

Very drinkable and open-ended. Not much of a punctuation mark but I enjoy a good easy drinking beer like this in September

L: First off, the can looks sweet. When poured, it's caramel orange, clear, but darker than say, a Paulaner Okto. It's plenty frothy and lively. I'm having it from a beer stein.
S: Malted barley with some hop action. I'm picking up on some tangy toastiness as well.
T: Well done. Roasty toasty barley with a present hop bitterness. It's well balanced and made with good ingredients.
F: It's rather lively. The roasted barley is so savory, and the lagering process has it tasting smooth as silk. Finishes super clean thanks to the high quality hops.
O: My favorite part is the roasted barley. That said, the only reason the barley can be my favorite is because Barman's had the good graces to use at least hop pellets. That right there is the difference between mass produced swill and a fine craft brew. I'll rate it 4 and a quarter. It's good for sale and I'll do it again next year.
As a matter of fact, my German imports are almost certainly going to fall short of this. They're bottled for export and just not made the same way. I'll give them a fair shake though, Bitburger, Erdinger, Hofbrau, and Paulaner are on the docket.

12oz can poured into a tulip. Pours a burnt golden with solid clarity; fluffy off-white head that that fades leaving nice retention and lacing. The aromas are malt forward. Hints of caramel and toffee. Some breads, grains, crackers and toast. The aromas are pretty mild overall, but it doesn't smell bad or anything like that. The flavors are pretty bold. They're pretty bitter as well. More caramel and toffee. Lots of burnt toast. Mild sweetness. Once again, this one has really nice bitterness. Malts do their thing. Alcohol basically goes unnoticed for the most part. Mouthfeel is very nice. It's medium-bodied with active carbonation. It's sharp, crisp, spritzy, smooth and slightly fluffy.
This is a nice Oktoberfest. I really like the bitterness that this one brings. The craftsmanship is on point. Well done. I really like it.
