Having this beer on tap at the Brewery, this beer draws a fairly a clear, medium golden color with a fluffy white head that's about 2/3 of an inch thick when first poured that settles to a very thick surface coating and excellent lacing. Aromas of some bready malts and some tropical fruit notes from the hops. Melon being quite prevalent here. Also has a grassy, herbal hop note. Has a similar flavor profile, with the aforementioned bready malts and melon followed by a crisp , herbal up bitterness. For me, I took a few sips for the jalapeño chili spice to kick in. It is a slow creeper, but once it creeps up, it makes its presence known and sticks around and doesn’t want to leave. Not at all overpowering, as all of the flavors are balanced nicely, although I suppose the jalapeño chili spice does dominate just slightly over the other flavors. Has a crisp, smooth, frothy, medium bodied mouthfeel with moderate carbonation. All the flavors lingered nicely on my pallet for quite a while after each tip for the aftertaste. Surprisingly refreshing and quite enjoyable on this hot summer day. A very nice beer that I am glad I got a chance to try.
