Having this beer on tap at the brewery, this beer draws a fairly a clear, medium to dark brown color with a fluffy white head that's about 2/3 of an inch thick when first poured that settles to a very thick surface coating and excellent lacing. Aromas of some toasted, bready malts, a bit of roasted nuts, and some earthy hops. Has a very similar flavor profile, with the aforementioned slightly toasted bready malts, some roasted nut, and some earthy hops. Also a nice hint of caramel and chocolate. An earthy hop bitterness rounds out the taste. A well balanced and excellent, nicely complex flavor profile with lots of little subtleties going on. Has a crisp, also smooth, medium bodied, slightly to somewhat dry mouth feel. All of the flavors, along with the dryness stick around on my palate for a while after each sip for the aftertaste. A very enjoyable beer here.
