Straight out of the history books, Sig Luscher continues their historic brewing techniques with a wheated amber lager for elevated flavor and reserved drinkability.
A toasted honey appearance kicks off the session while streaming bubbles fuel a creamy eggshell froth and a juicy malt aroma. Light with floral hops and redolent with toast, nuttiness and baking bread set the stage for a sweeter taste of honey, granola and cashew. A light hop presence adds a spicy hop balance with hints of parsley and mint to follow.
Medium bodied, easy drinking and characterful, Sig '66 is a comfortable beer that certainly outplays beers like Samuel Adams Lager and Amber Bock.

I this beer off the tapper at the brewery whilst eating a delicious hotdog after visiting Buffalo Trace with the old Oswego crew during our annual beer trip. The beer was a crisp amber with bold bittering hop grain presence that was very sessionable and easy to drink.

Nice dark color. Slight head but not too much. Malty nose and taste.
