This is a very dark, near black brew with abundant beige foam in the goblet. Aromatic with dark grain, green herbs, and a note of licorice. This isn't exactly sweet, but it's rather rich in flavor with a malty underpinning. Lush mouthfeel. The flavor seems a bit watery at first sip, but then there is a spicy taste along with the malt. Dark roasted flavors with just a hint of burnt sugar. Herbal hops that go so well with rich and winey darkness. Even a hint of cinnamon. This is so much better than the usual Schwartz or dark lagers. I'm happy to find yet another interesting and delicious brew from Threshold. From the 16 oz can purchased at Elizabeth Station. Dated 10/08/24.
