Ripe raspberry addition pairs perfectly with the porter's dark chocolate notes; it's a delightful spin on the style.

16oz can from Boise Co-op. Dark brown pour with ring of beige foam. Raspberry edges out the roasty malts in the aroma. Taste is sweet and fruity, raspberry, followed by some dry, bitter roastiness

16oz can pours typical brown with a nice foamy cap of khaki bubbles. The raspberry is apparent on the nose, with some jammy qualities and roasted, earthy backbone. The palate lets the raspberry shine but stops short of overwhelming everything else; there are nice background notes of dark malty caramel, earthy licorice, dried fruit and some nuttiness as well as a present salinity. It delivers as advertised, probably not something I would revisit but it's certainly not bad.
