unique ipa, i found it to be quite grassy, herbal, almost medicinal, without the high fruitiness and dry hop characteristics that are more common in the style these days, a little bit of a different take here, but i also wouldnt call it old school, as its without more colorful and richer malt character for the most part, balanced yes, but malty no. i like this brewery, have seen a ton of creativity which i love, some neat less common traditional stuff too, which i am also into, results have been mostly up with a few weird ones in there, and this is recognizable for its hop profile, if not amazing overall, especially next to some of the other hoppy beers at treefort, pretty heady lineup to compete with i guess. i believe the correct abv to be 6.4% as well. it has like, hay and straw character above the barley, some tennis ball scent, dried flowers maybe, certainly green tea, some bitterness too, missing the citrus thats so common in these its unique for the absence of that more than anything else, which is also true in the flavor, the hop climax is quite late, right before the swallow, and its quick in a way, fresh as a beer but dried in terms of the hop notes, botanical, chamomile or something, perhaps a tad underwhelming but i like that its interesting, dehydrated pineapple could maybe be some mosaic in this, but there are noble-like properties too, even dill to me. the grain is of quality even if its mild, and the balance is still there. good carbonation and easy enough to drink, but a curious palate really, especially in this day and age, id love to know a little bit more about the beer, particularly what hops have been deployed in it, because it does strike me as different than whats happening in the style right now, generally speaking. cool to have something a a bit unique, still classic in some respects, but really unexpected overall, neat for spring, the flavors kind of fit the season. if anyone knows what hops are in this, let me know, a quick search doesnt yield much information...

Half draft at Alefort Foggy golden pour, small frothy white head. Grainy, biscuity aroma with a hint of citrus. Taste is crisp, lively, bitter zippy, dry
