A:
Pours a hazy gold with two fingers of fluffy ivory head. Good retention; rings of lacing. (4.25)
S:
Candied orange, passion fruit, overripe mango. (4)
T:
Powdery tropical citrus on the whole, clean strawberry sweetness with a hint of bready malt and the faintest whiff of pine. (4)
M:
Mediumish body, smooth and fluffy with medium carbonation and a soft finish. (4)
O:
A nice, juicy (yet still pretty malty) IPA.
It pours semi-hazy with nice head. The aroma is funky Aussie hops all the way. Citrus without a bite, tropical with some light herbal notes. The flavor follows suit, riding on the back of soft pale malt breadiness, very fruity and soft without quite being a juice bomb à la TH et al., little to no bitterness but still dry with a snap to it. A nice beer and, I am embarrassed to say, better than I had anticipated what with how new this brewery is and all. I look forward to getting this one again in the future. (4)
