I am trying this beer off the tapper at the brewery as part of a four sample flight. It poured a clear amber with thin off white head that is leaving some lace. The scent had malt and grain notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with mellow caramel malt base with grain and earth presence. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it is a great beer.

Tartan pours an amber color, with no head. Sweet and sugary aroma. Flavor is sweet and sugary, with hint of earth. Flatter body. Overall, very sweet, sugary Scottish ale, with lighter flavors.
