A Sweet Potato porter. Enjoyed from a 750ml can at home.
Very dark brown almost black body. Very little light passes thru from the beer light. Nice tan head that leaves some lacing.
Smell: roast, chocolate.
Taste: When cold it starts with a bitter roast with a hint of coffee. Then slightly dry chocolate. A hint of earth. This one gets a little sweeter after it warms up. After it warms up there is a hint of sweet potato towards the finish. Finishes slightly dry.
Feel: It's smooth not thin or thick.
This is a solid beer. 4.09/5 overall

I am trying this beer off the tapper at the brewery as part of a four sample flight. It poured an opaque dark amber with thin ecru head that is leaving some lace. The scent had roast and malt notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with mellow semi sweet choclate malt base with grain and earth presence. The mouthfeel was medium in body with good carbonation. Overall it is a great beer.
