We visited Airline Brewing Company Pub last Monday (08/05/24) during lunchtime. This was our second visit at this quaint pub. Located on Main Street in downtown Ellsworth this place left me satisfied after both trips. My visits here are usually preceded by a lengthy time perusing the nearby antique stores whilst searching for vinyl, CD's and other collectibles.
The seats fill up here rather quickly, as it's a small place, but it's intimate and comfortable. Sometimes it's the case that smaller pubs make you feel claustrophobic, but that's not the case here because the charm and vibe are inviting. I really like the decor and wood panels. The music was really good during my time there, including a Van Morrison song off of Moondance.
A detailed chalkboard is located over the center of the bar that lists the beers they have available. Options included Brown Porter, Spruced Up, Chur! DIPA, Irish Envy, Peanut Butter Stout, Black Flag IPA, Schodic Sunrise, Heather Ale, Oatmeal Stout, etc. Also included are a couple of nitro beers too. The ABV of each beer is listed on the board and you can order various pours including a 5 oz. so you can make your own sampler if you wish.
The food was tasty with various pub style selections including daily specials. The pretzels were a great appetizer, served warm with a cheese sauce & spicy mustard. Service was friendly and attentive too.
Airline Brewing Pub is a solid option when in scenic Down East Maine area, I anticipate my return visit which will hopefully be soon!

Fantastic English-style pub vibe, which is pretty much impossible to find in my regular environs. It is a fairly small space, but the wood paneling, the decor really make you feel like you're in a small English town pub that leans in the direction of slightly posh (for a small town, anyway -- nice leather upholstery, polished old-hardwood surfaces, etc). It helped that it was a little drizzly and gray outside.
We were there mid-day and there was almost no one else in. There were probably 10 or so beers on tap, including two on cask -- most of them were British styles, though there may have been a pils and an NEIPA. Bartender didn't seem super knowledgeable about the beers, but was friendly and perfectly attentive. The beers are all listed on the Amherst location's entry, so that's where I put mine. Food was solid and consistent with the vibe.

Visited in December 2018. Small, quaint little offshoot brewpub. Staff was very helpful and quick to offer samples (especially cask offerings). Decent selections and very welcoming. Worth checking out when in Ellsworth, Maine.

This is a small "brewpub" in downtown Ellsworth, ME. It is setup to look like an English pub. It's a small, narrow rooms with minimal seating during "Social Distancing". The beers were all solid to really good. Service was fine. My wife and I did not try the food but the menu looked good.

A gem. Intimate and fun and the beer is above average as well. Met some friends there and they enjoyed as well.
##a couple of years later went wit wife nd family members. Atmosphere was just FUN! Two of us had flights and they were all good to better than good. BUT I had their chili and it might have been the best chili I have ever had in a restaurant. Exceptional. This is a must for a pub if you are inEllsworth.
