Featuring Idaho 7 hops, Dexy (6.3% abv) has a huge aroma of citrus and mango, subtle hints of pine, and a soft body and finish.

In honor of those Idaho 7 hops, we named Dexy after our owners’ puggle, who looks, quite stunningly, like a potato.

Draft at the brewery
Big pillowy head good retention, good lacing, murky cloudy tan orange color

Nose mild pithy, fair citrus orange tangerine, hint tropical almost pineapple and mango, mild doughy malt

Taste little sweet doughy cracker malt, grainy pithy, fair citrus, orange rind, little tropical like generic tropical, little mango and papaya, a bit soft juicy, bitterness starts light but increases to a little aggressive on the finish, but dry and and a touch astringent

Mouth is med bod, mild soft creamy juicy like, nice creamy carb but a touch astringent

Overall not bad, good base beer, hops get a little aggressive and astringent on the finish, otherwise nice

Enjoyed on tap at the brewery today.

A - Poured a nice super hazy orange juice hue with a one finger off white head that fades to leave really sticky side lacing and a thin creamy blanket.

S - Big aromas of citrus peel and juice, flashes of mango peel. Little bit of pine and hops. Flashes of earthy notes as well. Almost mosaic like on the finish.

T - Taste is similar to the nose with loads of citrus peel and juice with lighter mango. Gets real earthy and spicy. Almost mosaic like bordering on too much earth and spice.

M - Mouthfeel is nicely carbonated, little creamy, crisp.

O - Overall this was a very solid new England ipa, however, I wasn't a big fan of the Columbus finish. Got real spicy on the end.
