The Bees, a weissbier brewed with honey and citrus peel, offers notes of orange, grapefruit, banana, clove, and vanilla. With a light body and crisp finish, The Bees is perfect for the warmer weather ahead.

Darker gold color with a haze. Decent large bubbled head which does quickly and leaves no lace on the glass.

Oddly, this smells like green olives to me. Smooth but no wheat aroma that I can pick up.

Highly carbonated with a neutral to thin body. There’s a mild sourness. Here, the brewer has a strong wheat flavor and no notable green olive. Only a touch of banana and cloves. Wheaty finish along with a very short aftertaste.

My first beer from the local Redemption Rock brew. I love a good Hefe, especially in the warmer weather we’ve been having lately. This one sounds interesting, utilizing honey and citrus peel in the brewing process. I always like to try honey beers so let’s see how this one holds up

Pours a cloudy orange gold with 3 fingers of off white head that slowly fades to a thin cap and leaves decent lacing

In the nose, this is pretty standard for the style, with the honey and citrus not really coming through in a strong way. I’m picking up on aromas of earthy wheat, white pepper, overripe banana, doughy malt, and orange rind

Oh wow, for as little as the adjuncts did for the aroma, they do something really nice in the taste, melding typical style notes with more expressive fruitiness. On the front end of the sip I’m tasting lemon rind, wildflower honey, earthy wheat, and tangerine. The swallow brings notes of overripe banana, sweet honey, soft wheat bread, and white pepper

A light medium body pairs with gentle carbonation, resulting in a crisp yet slightly sticky beer. Finishes neutral in terms of dryness, leaving a bit of film behind

This is a great beer. The adjuncts are doing fantastic work in this one, really unique for the style

Can picked up Sunday, no date

Pours a gigantic frothy fizzy head with med retention, fair lacing, cloudy med orange color

Nose brings nice doughy wheat, bready dough and creamy wheat, fair citrus, orange zest esters as well as a fair amount of bubblegum and maybe a hint of banana, mild phenol spices, cracked wheat, touch of grapefruit, some dried honey mead

Taste brings chewy creamy malt and big bubblegum esters, creamy wheat, doughy malts, little honey and vanilla spice, and honey cake, plenty of esters with bubblegum out front, mild citrus and sweet orange peel, touch of peachy stone fruit somehow, big vanilla cake batter as well and orange icing, some mead-like dried honey center, faint phenol spices, and a little banana, mild sticky finish but drier, touch of bitterness, lingering vanilla cake batter with bananas and peaches n cream on top

Mouth is med to a bit lighter bod, big effervescent foamy carb, little creamy wheat

Overall pretty nice Weissbier, honey comes through nicely like a mead, doughy creamy wheat is nice, good esters and vanilla phenol spices, cake batter, etc, nice carb level

Enjoyed on tap at the brewery grand opening today.

A - Poured a nice hazy darker golden orange hue with a fat two finger white head that fades to leave sticky lacing and a thin creamy blanket.

S - Aromas of banana, esters, creamy wheat. There's a little bit of grassy hops and tartness as well. Bright orange as well as very nice light honey sweetness.

T - Taste is similar to the nose with loads of nice esters and sweet ripe bananas. Light creamy wheat. Finish is a little bit of lingering orange peel bitterness with flashes of subtle vanilla. Honey brings a nice sweetness and body.

M - Mouthfeel is brightly carbonated, kind of fizzy.

O - Overall this was a solid hefe with honey. Really nice banana notes, esters are solid. Lingering bitterness and honey is nice.
