Our first sour ale, The Flowers is brewed with hibiscus, chamomile, and heather. It features a beautiful pale grapefruit hue, lemon and cranberry notes, a lightly bready body, and assertively tart finish.

Enjoyed on tap at the brewery today.
A - Poured a nice super hazy ruby red grapefruit juice hue with a nice creamy one finger slightly pinkish white head that fades to leave very light lacing and a thin blanket.
S - Aromas of nice lacto yogurt tartness, flashes of lemon and almost cranberry like tart aromas. There is a definitive "hibiscus beer" aroma from this that's hard to describe beyond that...like a bright floral cranberry cherry note.
T - Taste is similar to the nose with loads of lacto funk, much more than the nose. Definitely a kettle sour taste going on followed by pleasant lemon and almost juicy berry tartness. More of that cranberry cherry like flavour. Finish is lingering lactic tartness, almost gets flemmy but stops just short of it.
M - Mouthfeel is nicely carbonated, little crisp and creamy.
O - Overall this was a very solid kettle sour. Great appearance thanks to the flowers and a nice light fruity aroma and flavour. Quite enjoyable.
