The Trees, our maple sap altbier, features notes of dark cherry, plum, raisin, toasted bread crust, and hints of caramel and coffee. With a crisp and slightly bitter finish, The Trees is full-flavored up front yet remarkably drinkable.

Enjoyed on tap at the brewery today.
A - Poured a nice crystal clear dark amber almost chestnut hue with a thin one finger light tan head that fades slowly to leave creamy lacing and a light blanket.
S - Aromas of light caramel and toffee, little bit of darker sweet fruits, plums and cherries or raisins, little bit of a bready note.
T - Taste is similar to the nose a nice dark almost Russian bread note, good flash of caramel and roasted malts, little bit of almost dark fruit sweetness. Finish is on the drier side, super balanced flavour profile, just a hint of lingering bitterness.
M - Mouthfeel is nicely carbonated, crisp, clean.
O - Overall this was a solid altbier. Nice balanced profile with a fun use of maple sap. Good execution.
