Poured a light golden color with a 4F head in a Brooklyn hefeweizen glass. Excellent head retention.
Weird aroma- quasi peach, spices, phenols.
Light body, a bit too light for the style.
The weird aroma also dominates the taste. Peachy, phenols.
Okay beer. I really have enjoyed the beers from this brewer, but this one
struck out. The redeeming factor is the head retention. Otherwise, I find myself questioning
what. style this beer is.

Draft at the brewery
Pours a large creamy dense head with great retention and lacing, hazy cloudy medium tan-orange color

Nose is very hefe-like, sweet doughy wheat, fair citrus with both orange and lemon esters but mild, some banana, light clove, light floral flowery phenol notes, a swirl brings nice peachy aroma

Taste little phenol spice and clove as well as tangy character out front, and a hint of solvent, fruity esters with citrus, banana, and some juicy peach under that, creamy doughy wheat, vanilla, with mild honey, little tangy tartness, slight sticky finish, hint of alcohol and solvent drying the tongue, bit more peach lingering

Mouth is med bodied, a little creamy wheat, little solvent and alcohol tingle, medium carb

Overall in on the fence with this one, more hefe than saison, which is a blurry line usually but this was very skewed to hefe until late, peach was a bit underwhelming, and that solventy character... I think this yeast is not the best for a saison, and probably lower the fermentation temp a bit to lower the solvent

Enjoyed on tap at the brewery today.

A - Poured a nice hazy golden hue with a thin white head that fades to leave light lacing and thin wispy blanket.

S - Big aromas of bananas and cloves, lighter honey as well. Little flashes of sweeter peach juice and tartness.

T - Taste is similar to the nose with loads of slightly sweet banana and cloves. Really borders on hefeweizen like. Some good honey sweetness with just a flash of peach. The peach is rather subtle but the base saison is lovely. The peach comes in on the finish with lingering juicy finish.

M - Mouthfeel is nicely carbonated, medium bodied, crisp, clean.

O - Overall this was a solid enough saison. The base characteristics are lovely, however, I'm left craving more peach on the aroma and flavour.
