NO can date
Pours a large frothy fizzy almost 2 finger head with med-low retention, a touch of lacing, fair hazy deep orange color
Nose some grainy cereal malt, fair malty sweetness with a hint of caramel, some vanilla, some fruity notes as well, candied fruit maybe, very light herbal earthy hop
Taste brings fair cereal grain, bready sweet malt, cracker, light toasted biscuity malt and a touch of caramel, fair sweetness, faint fruity notes as well, toasted Vienna like malt with bread crust, light herbal hop with low bitterness, med dry finish, a bit more herbal hop lingering getting a hint spicy
Mouth is med bod, a bit of a soft lager, med to higher foamy carb
Overall not bad, I usually have high expectations from them and this was a bit of a let down, not a terrible beer but not what I expected, maybe it's old and I'll have to try it again fresh.

Very distinctive Octoberfest. A different approach: the fruit esters are more pronounced, and the finish is a hoppier than most beers in the style. Crisp, and dry MF. Amber color with a 4F head in a Brooklyn Oktoberfest glass.

Enjoyed on tap at the brewery today.
A - Poured a nice crystal clear light copper amber hue with a good one finger off white head that fades to leave sticky lacing and a thin blanket.
S - Pleasant aromas of toasted bread, light caramel, flashes of fruitiness as well decent noble hops. Smells super true to style.
T - Taste is similar to the nose with nice toasty doughy bread and malt sweetness. Nice subtle but sticky caramel, the fruitiness is there lightly, noble hops are more subdued. There is a flash of bitterness on the finish though and almost fusel alcohol on the aftertaste that starts to become rather oppressive as well as aggressive with each sip.
M - Mouthfeel is nicely carbonated, crisp, clean.
O - Overall this was a rather good beer, right up until the bitter fusel finish. All the other characteristics are pleasant and enjoyable but that finish really knocks thid one. A shame too.
