Esther is our love letter to Worcester’s Esther Howland - The Mother of the American Valentine!
Our Esther, a weizenbock, pops with strong fruity ester (get it?) aromas of banana, grapefruit, and pear, as well as notes of clove, white wine, honey, vanilla, and wheat. Big bold flavor with a medium body and dry finish.

I love a good Weizenbock, and this is the perfect beer name to drink on Purim
Pours a light fizzy head with med-lower retention, a bit of lacing, semi hazy mostly clear honey blond slight orange color
Nose is great as expected, some citrus and fruity esters (heh Ester), lots of nice wheat and malt characters, a bit grainy-sweet, doughy wheat, some vanilla, nice honey, little caramelized character and sweet sugar notes, light peppery phenol notes, smooth alcohol, vanilla orange icing
Taste brings more wheat up front, doughy creamy wheat with more honey, grainy-doughy with a bit of cereal, a bit of caramelized sugar notes, then into the fruity esters, citrus mostly, a touch of banana and tree fruit, light peppery phenols and a bit of smooth alcohol, again the light cake batter with orange vanilla icing, a bit of bitterness, mild sticky finish
Mouth is med to a tad richer bod, med-higher fizzy carb, a hint of warming alcohol
Overall about what I expected from Redemption Rock, a well done beer to style and quite enjoyable. Glad I bought the whole 4-pack.
