Visited on a Friday night with the doors open and a food truck on site. The food was great, if you happen to see "Birds" food truck, go get some, their tenders are divine and unlike any other I've tried.
Ordered a bottle off the cellar list and it did not disappoint. Staff was knowledgeable and friendly.

Downtown Dubuque, just a 10 minute walk from the riverwalk. Stopped in on a hot and humid July Friday evening, it was kind of quiet, but the windows to the street were open and it was relaxed and pleasant place. Bartenders were knowledgeable and friendly. Selection was fairly heavy on the pale ales, but there were a decent number of other offerings: lagers, seltzers, a few bigger/darker beers.

In the downtown area, this place is an older brick building that has been remodeled into the brewery and taproom. High wood truss ceiling, and a concrete floor. Small parking lots on each side, and a small patio with picnic tables. Longer bar with the brewing equipment behind, with a view through glass. Other seating is at booths and tables, with a back events room and a small upstairs area. Eighteen taps, with quite a few each of IPAs and sours. TVs and artwork above the bar. Cooler has cans to go. Competent staff. Handsome spot for local craft.

Large open industrial space at the end of a dead end street. Buzzing with a large crowd, trendy vibe, slick and clean space with a lot of tv's. Sterile and kind of boring, there was nice booth seating near the bar, with a window into the brewery behind the bar.
Staff was quick and friendly. They have "order beer here" signs at each end of the bar, but the left side is food only apparently, and they directed us to the opposite side. Might be a good idea to fix that confusing sign.
Unfortunately, the four beers I tried here left a lot to be desired. One of their sour ales was undrinkable, and the Oktoberfest had a pretty unpleasant slick texture and aftertaste. The fruited kettle sour tasted like pureed fruit rollups and sulfur. The IPA was great, but one out of four isn't exactly good. A lot of gimmicky beers with clever labels, but the quality just wasn't there, based on my limited first impression. I'd give them another try on tap if I see them elsewhere, but I don't see much justification for the hype.

These guys are killing it. They are ready to compete with the big boys of Iowa (Pulpit Rock and Toppling Goliath). Their IPA's, fruited sours, and their limited release stouts are all top notch.

Fairly large open space right by the Hwy 151 bridge leading into Dubuque from Wisconsin. The beers I tried were all good. Reasonable prices on crowlers. About 8 of their own brews on tap after being open for just a few months.
