look: 4.75 | smell: 4.5 | taste: 4.75 | feel: 4 | overall: 5
no head at all, sharp barrel aging notes, which are wonderful, a little thin on the feel, the smell is nice and more of a slow burn than a bang, boozy with a touch of tart so more of an ultra dark and rich sour than a stout, at least in the classical sense, but generally wonderful. perhaps not for the purists, it’s a bit avante garde.
